Read the board before placing a block
Start by identifying the numbered spaces and the open cells around them. A number tells you how much space that block needs, so the clearest moves are usually the best first moves.
Keep your first moves small and certain
- Fill any area with only one valid shape.
- Check neighboring numbers before extending a block.
- Leave ambiguous spaces open until another move narrows them down.
- Use the relaxed pace to verify the board instead of guessing.
